Hi,
following a laptop upgrade, I can’t seem to access the site from my laptop.
I get a page that states testing 123… and Apache HTTP server. Powered by CentOS.

can y assist?

That sounds similar to the issue I reported a while back, Vic. I don't remember the exact resolution, but if you look for my thread here in the Forum Issues forum, you can read about it.

Prost!

Here's the thread:

https://forum.treefrogtreasures.com...-Server-test-message-when-accessing-the-forum

The resolution was: "...at some point between my machine and the forum's server, probably at the DNS server, my IP address getting flagged and I was blocked. Rich suggested releasing/renewing my IP address and that corrected it..."

I'll see if I still have the sequence of steps to do that, and share them here.

Prost!

OK, I checked my private messages, and unfortunately, I didn't save the message thread I had with Rick from support. So I no longer have any more specific info on what I did to release/renew my IP address. Hopefully Julie will see this and put you in touch with him or someone else and you can get this resolved quickly.

Prost!

I emailed Rich to take a look at this to see if he can offer insight.

Hi Brad!

I believe we did the following to resolve it last time:
Press windows key and X key at the same time. Then click at Command Prompt. Type ipconfig /release at the Command Prompt window, press Enter, it will release the current IP configuration. Type ipconfig /renew at the Command Prompt window.

Hi there,

I'm sorry about that. Yesterday we had to reboot the server which took about 4 minutes. That was most likely when you encountered this. Please try clearing your cache and cookies and let me know if that solved your issue.

If not please send me your ip address so I can check our server and see if it is blocked.

You can do a google sea4rch for what is my ip..

Thanks

Hi Brad, Julie and Rich,

My sincere apologies for overlooking this thread. I truly appreciate the responses to my query.

I managed to resolve my access issue by creating a new SOP, using a different computer, thumbdrive etc.

Rgds
