Last month I was approached by the Rangiora RSA, to display my Vietnam
Diorama for the upcoming Long Tan Anniversary.
Today I have set it up and posted photos.
Tomorrow Friday 18th August is the Anniversary of Long Tan.
The original members of 161 Battery as well as other soldiers
will be parading on Friday.
A big thank you to Andy for creating Vietnam, looking forward to expanding the series.

This is a marvellous layout which captures the feel of the jungle and allows for plenty of setups using Andy’s extensive range produced in this series. Certainly will make a talking point for like minded people that will be attending. You can be pretty pleased with what you have achieved and be ready for many positive comments. Robin.

Last photos.

Bloody great mate!
I really love what you’ve done with your displays and hope the attendees at the commemoration appreciate all the time and effort you have put into this amazing diorama.

Only sorry we had to miss meeting up in Oz during my recent trip…There’s always next year!
All the very best and, of course, Happy Collecting…’Specially Vietnam.
Andy.

Impressive, Excellent or just plain old Bloody Great, I'd like to echo the same sentiments of Robin, Duke and Andy.
You're certainly going to start a lot of conversations with your displays and maybe even start a few new collections !

What an incredible dio and great pictures-thanks for sharing !

I had the privilege and honour of attending the parade and wreath laying ceremony
with the veterans of Long Tan.
If only I had these chaps from 161 Battery and RAR in Iraq and Afghanistan.
They would have still kicked ***.
I was also presented with a signed copy of a book from WO1 Class One Patrick
Duggan RNZA 161 Battery, 2 tours Vietnam, very humbling.
