Armistead's men breach the wall. Intense fighting ensues. The "High Watermark of the Confederacy."

Confederates close in on the Union position atop Cemetery Ridge as more rebels fall with every step!

After crossing the road, the Confederates begin to come under rifle fire as well as canister and double canister from the Union troops.

Pickett's charge proceeds up the slopes in hopes of reaching the ultimate goal of breaking the Union center.

The order is given to advance. Rebels begin the walk that will end most of their lives.
