Gettysburg toy soldier show in Aug?? (2 Viewers)

You'll let us know how that works out for you George? :D

As you know Simon, my dad is an ex Boston police officer, 37 years on the job, maybe he'll fill in for me, nightstick in hand, smile on his face.

He's 81 years young and I wouldn't mess with him...........

:D I'd say that would more than even up the chances of coming out in profit. ;)

I'm off to Gettysburg first thing in the am, van is fully loaded with raftloads of toy soldiers, all the new sets from K & C, the new JJD sets and the Stalingrad Germans and Russians as wll from First Legion.

Hope to see many of the forum members there over the weekend; Friday 11-9, Saturday 9-5, Sunday 9-1 at the Gettysburg Wyndham Hotel.

Sweet. I may get over there Friday before all the good stuff is gone.;)

Tis a beautiful sunny day in old GB today. I'm heading over to the show in a few hours. Anyone going should note that there is a parking garage behind the hotel. It is hard to see because the entrance is through an alley.

Oops the show is at the Wyndham Hotel outside town - plenty of parking there.

I picked up the John Jenkins' August releases and a figure from Aeroart. Very light crowd as you might expect on Friday. The whole Wyndham complex is somewhat bizarre. They built several hotels and restaurants on the outskirts of GB based on the proposal to build a casino in that area. When that fell through they are left in the middle of nowhere.

Well I thought the show was nice. light crowd, but still alot of nice things to look at. Got to meet another forum member, and talked to George so all in all it was a nice time .

Titus
