Jeez, another superstar, sad to hear of his passing. The Eagles well stood the test of time and are an incredible band. I am only sorry I missed him live, he was on the list to see. I also fondly remember his guest appearances in Miami Vice as a kid on the tv show.

huge loss for the rock and roll community...he was iconic...seems like he had 100's of hits...always liked the Eagles...so many good songs...an unusual mix of music...California rock and roll...

Never can decide which band from the 70's I liked more, The Eagles or Fleetwood Mac.
Now don't make fun of my masculinity but in the 70's I loved Barry Manilow.

Some Eagle's songs I will switch radio stations, but I never switch radio stations when there's a Fleetwood Mac song.

Sorry Gary, but I almost always switch radio stations when there's a Barry Manilow song. Actually, they never play Barry Manilow on the radio anymore.

I was reluctant to post that I liked Manilow, just being honest!

I understand your reluctance :wink2: It would be like a jazz fan saying they like Kenny G {eek3}

Brad-
Have you heard any songs on the final Bowie album? It was supposedly very heavily influenced by jazz and used some musicians he saw at a club in NYC. Seemed to be get high praise from the critics even before his passing.

Doug,

I had read that it was heavily jazz influenced but had not had a chance to listen any cuts yet.
