I found a couple of these in an old estate sale.
They appear unmarked. Good, hollow, well detailed figure, but paint is a bit sloppy on them.
Anyone know who made them? They are approximately 3 1/2" long and 3 1/4" high.

Thank you!ho1.jpgho2.jpgho3.jpg

Hi zeeborg, and welcome to the Forum! Your figures were made by the Metal Cast Products Co. of New York City, c1933. Their company bio and details of their figures can be found in Richard O'Brien's Collecting American-made Toy Soldiers [3rd Ed, 1996]. There's a picture of the figure you posted. It is described as #21 American Cavalry, one of 8 hollow-cast figures being offered in 1933 (the rest of the company's figures were solid-cast). O'Brien says that they were, in 1996, "considered the most collectable" of the company's output.
The figure you posted looks like his steel helmet's brim is broken, and he may have been repainted. Still, a fascinating piece of American toy soldier history.

Thanks Mike, you rock!
Based on your info, I found a photo of one of their old advertisements, and there it is in the upper left corner.
