Going South! (1 Viewer)

I agree Roy. Just starting to prepare the shelf for this series, so trusting Andy will deliver the goods like he always does. Robin.

Hopefully this April, which marks the 39th year of the start of this conflict, would be a good time to see what Andy has mind for the series and beyond. Perhaps also something special would be appropriate next April on the big 40th. No pressure of course {sm4}, Robin.

Another possibility, a FV107 Scimitar armoured tracked reconnaissance vehicle. One of these claimed a hit on a Skyhawk as air defence on the 23rd May 1982. One was also seriously damaged by a Argentinian landmine, but the crew were unscathed. Robin.

I can't wait for this.
I can remember when this all started.I had only been at work a few years.
I started buying the London evening news for the first time. It was exciting.
Then I found out my school mate in the navy was killed. It wasn't so exciting then.
I will buy these. It means a lot. It's a shame we had to wait so long. I've got the three Britains they made
Well done K&C, Good for you. Lets have some respect for our boys

12 of the Panhard AML-90 were deployed by the Argentines and used in the only armour engagement during the 'Battle of Wireless Ridge'.
Another candidate for Andy perhaps. Robin.

It bodes well to see the iconic figure in the latest Collector magazine. There is scope to represent some armoured vehicles from both sides of the conflict and although no tanks involved, these vehicles are certainly ’ tank ‘ like and due to their small size, hopefully are on the radar of K&C to consider. Getting the impression this series will be more quality and less quantity as it was a short lived battle and included naval and airfare which are less likely to be depicted. Still eagerly awaiting even this sole release to begin the journey. Keeping motivated since December last year is a challenge, but no doubt will be rewarded in spades once it gets underway. Robin.

Nicely put Robin :)

To my mind re-reading the original series announcement and the piece on the back of the new Collector magazine, it's looking like these releases might possibly be stand alone figures of the various units and arms of service. Giving an overall depiction of the various British armed forces involved in the conflict? I also wonder if there will be any personality figures? Whatever - I am definitely in ^&grin

I would expect most of what is to be released will be coming next year to tie in with the 40th Anniversary of the conflict?

The photo's of the Scimitar and Scorpion were taken at the Bovington Tank Museum a few months back.

Cheers,

Roy

I'm sure the Iconic radio operator figure will be a great seller !
Where Andy plans to take the series is anyone's guess, but with painting Camouflage uniforms being more labour intensive and so at a premium it's going to be up to us collectors, in that great sales will allow for expansion of the range !
