I just managed to set up a diorama on Golan Heights, depicting the fierce battle fought in the Yom Kippur war in Oct 1973.

The Northern front was centered around Golan Heights, which led to the Israeli war series "Valley of Tears."
The clever use of the terrain of high ground and wide ditches was key to the success of holding off the thousands of Syrian tanks in the opening few days of the battle.
The Centurion tank (Israeli heavily modified it to become their own SHOT version) is also another key to holding the Syrian attack; some research has shown that a Centurion tank took a few hits to be disabled, and this leads to a 1:7 ratio of the tank destroyed in Israel favor.

The diorama shown here is a mini version of the Valley of Tears; the project took several months and is my largest diorama (although still small as compared to many other collections).

The figures, Centurion tank, and M113 are from King & Country, Syrian T55/54, and T62 tank are from 1/35 model. I am looking forward to the T55/54 tank from the K&C tank that will be released later this year or early next year. I will be re-doing this again upon receiving them. Here is just a little preview.

I hope you guys like it.

Too right, this is refreshingly different. The terrain makes a great addition to the scene. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like with the upcoming releases. Robin.

Nicely done and Robin is right, it's a pleasure to see a different dio dipicting an Arab Israeli war. Well done!

Well done! Looking forward to K&C release of the Syrian T54/55 tank and possibly an Israeli M113 as well.
We could also use some Syrian/Egyptian advancing and casualty figures.

Wow, great dio and subject, looking forward to seeing more. :salute::

Hi,

Thanks for the positive comment and sorry for the long delay. I have decided to add a few more pictures.
The scene is depicting the advanced made by IDF into Syria after holding them for the first week of oct 1973.

Nicely done! The fire effect on the back of the Syrian tank is a nice touch.

Thank you Andy for the positive comment, I am really looking forward to your T-55/54 tank for both Syrian and Vietnam version. Hopefully, it will be a Christmas present for us collector, if not then perhaps a new year present.

Alas the Syrian T54/55 will appear in early 2022…The North Vietnamese one/pair will come out sooner.
By the way, I love your M113 APC ‘Israeli’ conversion…I’m going to try my own after seeing yours…Great job!!!
All the best,
Andy.
