Well after all of this time I finally got my hands on the HK 26 Piece Wedding Set. I am not sure how I will display it in one of our guest rooms yet but here are some pictures in the interim. It is truly a thing of beauty up close.

Sorry the pictures are not that great but the set is so large I had trouble with it.

Thanks for looking,

Ludwig

Hi Ludwig,

Congratulations! That is a remarkably nice set that would enhance the most extensive collection one could gather. I am sure you will find some place to display it, for to do otherwise would be a huge shame. Enjoy it to the max!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Ludwig,

You are full of surprises! That is a great set. I've never collected SOHK but I've been tempted several times.

Dear Ludwig:

You have every right to be happy to have obtained your 26 figured set of K&C's Chinese "Wedding Party"! I am sure it will look splendid when you find a regular display area location for it. You can post some more photos then!

Hi Ludwig
This is an awsome set
I was contemplating of buying one
but space is a very big factor right now
Congrat on ur purchase and enjoy my freind
Maybe one day

That is an impressive set! Nice purchase. I don't see what would be wrong with encasing it in glass and leaving it right where it is. Have been considering the dragon boats myself, seeing how nice this set looks might put me over the edge.

i have the older glossy version of this and its always been my favorite from k&c.

Well done Ludwig, probably the most impressive set of figures K&C have ever produced. ^&cool {bravo}}

Congratulations, Ludwig, good find! Based on how you have the rest of your collection displayed, I can see a room for SOHK in your future ;)

Prost, mein Alter!

WOW..........I can hardly believe the response!!!! There are two of you that I did not copy and one is Poppo...please thank you as well.

I really fell in love with this set years ago. Let me tell you in front of you it is awe inspiring to say the least. I am enclosing some more pictures and as one of you stated in-casing in glass is my direction or more correctly plex as with other of my displays attached as well. I actually have a fairly large collection of HK and IC, if you carefully search though my thread Gerhard started on "Bayern's Toy Soldier and Militaria Museum" you shall see. I will be posting more there soon too.

Again....and honestly...thank you for your posts and encouragement. It really means a lot to me. I have never done so much with my life long collection as the few weeks involved with you folks on Treefrog.

Sincerely,

Ludwig

You would be surprised at what Plexi-glass and an aquarium light can do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I should be getting the Champion Dragon boat for Father's Day.......if not my family is disowned...

MapleLeaf, At a comfortable gait the set requires 27-1/2" in length. The tallest figure is 4-1/8".

Hope it helps!! This set is arguably the finest set KC has ever done.

Thank you Poppo one of our Master diorama builders!!!

Take a look at my 1918 in the trenches thread. Find the post that has all 12 pictures and story one of my sons did with me in a row. I have gotten lots of compliments and would love to see what you think.

Ludwig
