:) Tobruk, El Alamein, Bir Harkem, Sidi Baranini, Alma Halfa,Etc! Can't stop Now! I guess its the Desert Heat, has gotten to me? Need a Cold Brew? I'm starting to see Mirage's, even the Camels are starting to look good to me! Is it One-Humps or Three Humps? It looks to me that the Camels, are Wearing Shirts? Oh No, I have to get back to Reaality! Need to take a Cold shower!

Did you ever see a History Channel special on the 1815 crisis of Capt Riley in the Sahara Desert?

Great stuff - old book publisehed in 1817.

This is a great story about the men of the US Ship COMMERCE - which shipwrecked on the coast of Africa and the men wander through the Sahara Desert. Very moving and has camels. :rolleyes:
 
Fascinating Ron,what a story.That was a brave man,what he must have gone through as a slave.No wonder he campaigned against it in later life.Thanks for that.
