Good Bad And The Ugly!!! (1 Viewer)

You're not the only one. I think it's a great movie, particularly the Civil War battle for the bridge; one of the great anti-war statements, next to Kubrick's Paths of Glory.

I've seen all of his western movies but this is the only one I like to watch again and again.

Great movie. Great music. The "western" is a real lost genre in Hollywood.

Ya definately one of the best and I agree with you all, Hollywood has lost it's touch, mainly an inability to allow a "happy Ending" or let the "good Guys" win.
Too busy hammering away at all the traditions and institutions that are great.
Just saw 3:10 to Yuma, a very sad remake of a great western for every reason above.

Sorry Wellington,
different tastes I guess, the whole movie felt like a cartoon to me, Peter Fonda gets Gut Shot, survives being dragged into town, Bullet removed with no Anesthesia or sterilization and he rides off with the escort?
The whole towns shooting at them, he delivers the bad guy and stands there with his back turn to the town like nothings happened? Then the bad guy kills his whole gang?
Hollywood just is too much into the spectacular for me, there just to lame to make real life circumstances into a great story.
If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, real life stories and the truth are way more interesting and more spectacular than anything Hollywood can do!

I do love the bridge part. The rest of the movie was typical spaghetti western.
