Charlie,

You are never a pest, and by the way, I love you scratch built Quonset huts and tower.

Hi Chuck

I've seen you hunting on E-bay lately, hope you have had some good luck!

Hope you are feeling better! I'm heading back up to Jersey to see the new

grandbaby again. I'll drop you a note when I return.

NJJA Nice to see your Nam pictures and it is good seeing you post again. Leadmen

Thanks Leadmen, most recently I have been involved with adult airguns...to resolve a squirrel problem. I never knew the level of sophistication that has been achieved in this field. These weapons are available in spring, pump, and compressed gas models, and can achieve 1000+ feet per second velocities.

When properly outfitted with a scope some of the german made models such as RWS Diana are capable of incredible accuracy at 30 to 50 yards. It is a lot of fun learning how to properly sight in a scope, and something you can have fun with on a reasonable sized piece of property, or a good sized basement.

Here is a shot of my RWS Stutzen.......sorry to get off point, but I thought it might be of interest to some of the members.

Are these air guns the same has a high velocity air rifle? I have a Chinese air gun I got this summer but it is not expensive. I tried to order a good one but they won't ship to Michigan and some other states. The one I got has high velocity but I have not got it zeroed in right. Still get the chipmunks with my old Crossmen pellet rifle. Nice air gun you got and it is good quality. Leadmen

Leadmen, yes, I started with a simple crossman CO2 pistol but the squirrels just laughed at that so after about 50 shots I gave up. My local Gun shop set me up with a Gamo 1000 (springer airgun 1000+fps) but they gave me a scope with a parallax of 50 yards (can't sight in below that distance). After a little research I got the correct BSA 4X32 scope learned how to mount and zero it in and got impressive groups at 20 yards. See image Bulleye group is after scope was zeroed in. I was shooting RWS pellets, so next step after research on RWS Dynamite Nobel (yes parent company originates from Alfred Nobel) was to purchase the RWS Stutzen with a 3X9 scope it puts several shots through the same hole at 20 yards. Newest additions are a couple of Benjamin 392LE limited edition (run of 500) classic pumps which sold out in April 2007.
