Gordon Neilson Privided Photos of Some of the Original Warbirds (1 Viewer)

They are incredible. I am an avid WW1 aircraft fan, and I just might rob a bank for KC remakes....Would the remakes be 1/30 or 1/32? Michael

For those who may be interested, I have saved these as a folder on my computer and can email them to you if interested.

I received an e-mail from Gordon Neilson of K&C enclosing 14 photographs of WWI and Interwar (1919-1939) Year Aircraft from the golden age of K&C warbird production circa 1995-1997. I will try to attach the photos myself. If that doesn't work I will ask Brad to attach them to this thread. There are a couple of planes I don't recognize (I will try to post them first) and any help identifying them would be appreciated.

I think the first unknown biplane might be a Grumman FF1 (circa 1931) or a Grumman F2F fighter from 1932.

Here's a link to photos of the F2F:

It could also be a late production version of a Boeing F4B:

Beaufighter,

Are you identifying the unknown biplane as a Brewster, or are you just praising the Brewster Buffalo?

Beaufighter,

I "googled" Brewster F2A and saw it was the Buffalo, so I realize you were praising the Buffalo model. I have one in the U.S. markings identical to the one in the photograph, and its one of my favorites as well. Did you know that Andy also made this plane in ANZAC markings? When Andy saw mine, he said he wished I had the ANZAC version, which he said was also really special.

ROGER THAT my friend! For some reason I have developed quite a liking for the mighty Buffalo...and as always, I ended up looking at the pictures of your K&C Squadron via Treefrog! Hoping to see everything live in March!

Hang Tough!

I just got an e-mail from Gordon indicating that he will be forwarding more Warbird photographs soon. I will post them upon receipt.

Another guess: a Grumman G-5/FF-1 Fifi

Here's a link to a photo of another company's version of this aircraft:

Here are some more photos of pictures of warbirds that Gordon provided to Louis. They come out rather small because it was included in an email, rather than as an attachment. I will send to Pete to see if he can do better.

The one photo Brad has been able to post so far from Gordon's e-mail is a version of a B-35 Mitchell that I have never seen before. Andy told me he had a couple in other markings in his own collection, this must be one of them.

Here are the others.

Last group. I forwarded the photos to Pete to see what he could do.

The problem is that they were directly in the email, rather than as attachments. If Gordon can send attachments, they would come out much bigger.

I love the Jake floatplane. That one and a Arado (Ar 196) would be great releases in the new upcoming WWII planes.

Pierre.

You are correct that this is a Jake Floatplane. Andy mischaracterized it as a "Zeke" floatplane in the catalogues.

K&C did do an Arado floatplane back in the 1990's. I also hope he considers doing a floatplane in future.
