Hello everybody, today I would like to ask, if you can give me some informations about the correct colour of the British Camel Corps Troopers, when they tried to save Gordon.
When I purchased the famous set "Gordon Relief Expedition" from TRADITION of London, I was very delighted:D. But since I looked around in this great forum, I have some doubts about the historical correctness ..:eek:
I saw pictures of other glossy figures concerning the same Camel Corps . And I noticed, that only Tradition has very dark blue jackets - all other producers took a more sky blue colour ( btw even brighter than the West Ham United FC blue colour :D:D:D). Which is the right blue ?
Thanks for your support

The Tradition figures are from the Royal Artillery and have dark blue uniforms, whilst the Camel Corps have a grey jacket like the one from WBritains, I painted this set some years ago.

Those are lovely sets.
I think Jeff has hit the nail on the head. RA vs Camel Corp.

Hi Marcus,

That's ok, you have a very nice set, even better since they are no longer available from Tradition :(

Hello Marcus,

Trophy of Wales also made Camel Corps figures in dark blue uniform.

This is a mounted gunner of the Royal Artillery from Set EQ58.

Best, Raymond.

:)

Lovely set Jeff. I'm lucky enough to have one of those Trophy sets, as well as a similar set from K & C. The new Britains Camel Corps set is also the same color.

Hi Martyn,

Thanks for your kind comments.

Unfortunately, I do not have the complete EQ58 set.

I managed to ID the figure using a recently acquired Trophy Catalogue.

Cheers, Raymond.
