Hi All,

I don't know much about this person, except that he conducted the marriage for Philip II of Spain.

I had painted this piece many years back. I have decided to do a simple repaint of the figure.

Here it is, from start to finish. First, the shadows.

Your work sure gives the figure 'depth'.

Shading and highlighting add so much to a figure...difficult to do as well as you did.

Thanks for your kind comments. I just wanted to show how simple shadings and highlights can improve a figure's appeal. These Café Storme figures make for great painting exercises and there's lots more to come...
