I am planning to do a Great Siege of Malta diorama set in 1565. I have started assembling the soldiers from each side.
The area I plan to replicate is the fierce fighting around Fort St. Elmo.
To get some enjoyment as I plan this ambitious project I did setting the soldiers out to create a little vignette:
On the left are figures from FL's Tercio, Landsknechts, Swiss Mercenaries and JJD's Columbus line.
They are defending a breach in one of the improvised outer defenses erected after word of the invasion was detected by the Knights of St. John's excellent intelligence network.
Of course, the FL Turks are perfect for this project:
They storm the breach trying to penetrate into the main fortress.
