I like to show you my Greek & Persian display. Beautiful figurines with such quality detail. Would love to see some additional Persian allies or subjects.

Careful Grey, can almost see you behind that aquarium piece^&grin. I too have some pieces, mine have ended up with my Romans, Aztec and Imperial China displays. Interesting to see the diversity in your collection. Robin.

Thanks Robin. Diversity is always desired. This is a four shelved glass cabinet and fits the TGM mats 38cm x 28.5cm perfectly.

I'll be displaying TGMs French Indochina on the top shelf when I receive my Viet Minh. Need to purchase some Last post scenics to complete.

Yes to really do justice to a shelf display an appropriate terrain mat and backdrop poster really do so much to enhance the figures and vehicles. It’s a fun project to source these items and certainly the likes of TG and LP make this so much easier. Have a nice Easter weekend. Robin.

Wonderful display, Grey. I'm a big fan of TG's Ancient Greeks and it looks like you've got a great collection, esp. with the opposing Persians. I started a little late in the game so my Greek collection is rather modest.
I may have to break out some over the Easter weekend inspired by your diorama.

Edit: I really like those archers.
Oh, and I think your aquarium piece makes a fun addition. Great way to add some detail to one's dio. I routinely visit my local pet shop in search of various ornaments that might work for me.

It's funny I watched the film 300 for about the fifth time the other night on our local TV. Not as good as the original 300 Spartans but still has some interest for me. It only takes a few figures to create an interesting scene which you have done, Maybe some ancient ruins would really set it off. The scene I have done is not up to date as I have placed more figures in it but no recent photos. I have allways hoped for a Persian elephant to set it off. Regards Greg.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, the collection is a slow build. Always looking in the pet shops for suitable aquarium terrain. I'm looking at some trees for a backdrop. My last figurine to pickup was the Persian with bronze standard. I'll add some additional Greek and Persians over time. I hope in time we may see some further releases for this beautiful period. I have always been attracted to this period as a child reading the history of the Greeks and Persians.

Hi Greg, Wow, what a lovely display. Thanks for your kind words. I'm always looking for bits and pieces to add to a scene. Like you, some Persian cavalry or even an elephant would be a nice addition. Additional Persian Allies would be most welcome.

Nice looking display there, always good to see what others have done and give ideas for our own.
You guys down under and Rob across the pond really need to try out getting some 3D prints done for your displays.

This designer sculptor has some great looking files for sale, you just need to find someone who can do prints, such as Paul Bell though sending stuff abroad can be more than the item costs, but plenty of Forum members have used him, such as Mike Miller for his impressive Japanese Place.
If you do decide to give 3D a try tell them what scale and if you what just a facade of a building for a shelf display, how much of a building you want etc and away you go !

Something like this Lion Gate would be great for Alexander storming Persepolis.
