Grey is Getting Popular: (1 Viewer)

"Now whether FL would consider "Operation Little Saturn" within the scope of the Stalingrad range is something only Matt can answer. This, of course, opens the Waffen SS option as well. "

The Waffen SS should have been started by FL a year ago!!

Great Post{bravo}}.....I am definitely in favor of the "macro view"...Any view that results in a First Legion Winterized Grey Tiger...will be a sight most welcome:wink2:

Maybe you will see K&C doing a revisit on a Vietnam series following the revisit of the Russian front. Seems in this tough market you have to follow the sales . Simmo.{sm4}

I would not be a bit surprised...."Follow the Leader": FIRST LEGION{sm4}{sm4}{sm4}

This is a composite map drawn by Manstein from his book. It illustrates why it makes sense to me anyway. By the time the Tigers arrive, the mission for 6th Army & AG Don has changed...not to extricate 6th Army but to extricate AG A from the south. The Tigers belonged to 4th Pz Army, and both that unit & 6th Army had the same boss, von Manstein at AG Don.

Although I admire all the efforts made trying to get Tigers as near to Stalingrad as possible, all the armour models done by FL so far as part of its STALINGRAD range come from units either subordinate to 4th Pz Army or 6th Army - neither of which had any Tigers under command. Before FL does a Tiger there are plenty of much worthy models I would prefer them to do - such as PzKw IVs (long and short), the 250 and 251 series of half tracks and Marder panzerjaegers.

I too would prefer to have a PzIVF2 & Hanomag first, but I also caution people not to fall into a Hitler mindset & not get too obsessed with a name of a city :)

and a Sturm-Infanteriegeschütz 33B. :)

Plenty of Tigers to go around. Not that I would not buy one ....

Save the Tigers for the 3rd battle of Kharkov or better yet Kursk. You could also take these and drop them into the DAK range.

As others have already stated there are many interesting vehicles still to be done for Stalingrad such as the KV1 (can blame a guy for trying Matt)
