Dave Grieve made the castings for these figures. I don't know if he still makes figure castings. Fine sculpted figures. JGrieveHighlander.jpgGrieveHighlander3w.jpg

Thanks for showing these figures Leadmen.

You don't see many of these David Grieve figures around. The detail is fantastic.

I have one of his 120mm figures, a Sergeant of the 66th Berkshire Regiment at Maiwand, in the box at home awaiting assembly. I will have a go at painting the figure at some stage. I have to admit I find these larger figures intimidating to paint. I hope it will look as good as yours.

There is an old modelling book by Bill Horan, "Military Modelling Masterclass", in which the first dozen or so pages are a painting how to of a Sergeant of the Cameron Highlanders, 1815. The figure is a David Grieve 100mm figure and it looks superb.

Lovely painting again John - and what an imaginative idea for the bases! Very, very nice indeed. johnnybach^&cool

Thanks guys. The pictures make them look stark but when viewed naturally in the case they look great. I have another Naval Brigade figure by Grieve but did not take a picture. John
