Over in the "Favorite World War 2 Movies" thread, Andy mentioned the Gulf War film "Bravo Two Zero" as a favorite. When I saw it a couple months ago, it got me wishing for a Scud-busting SAS set. :) Is there a chance that anything in a Desert Storm vein will be produced at some point? Or an expansion of the Iraq/Afghanistan ranges? Based on the availability of some of the retired SF sets, I'd assume that the chances are slim. But I had to put it out there. :D What do you all think?

Andy did some limited Gulf war stuff back in 1991-1992, so I doubt he is going to revisit it now, with Forces of Valor and other die-cast companies covering it. Just for your own information, he did a limited edition (200 set) glossy Gulf War U.S. Marines and a U.S.A.F. Jet Pilot (both in his Commemorative Edition Series), along with several warbirds, including an F14 Tomcat, F15 Eagle and Strke Eagle, F16, U.S.M.C. and British Royal Navy Harriers, a Stealth Fighter, and a couple of other British Planes for the Gulf War. He might have even done a Mig, but I'd have to check my Warbirds list to be sure.

As you may be aware, he did some U.S., British (including SAS), Taliban and Iraqi forces, along with a half-buried Iraqi Tank and a U.S. HumVee for the present conflict, perhaps he will do more in that series as time passes. I understand that Figarti will be addressing the area as well, with several vehicles on the way, so you might want to check there as well.

I think he's said something akin to what Louis said that since the die cast companies cover it rather well, he's not going to do it.

Thanks for the information Louis! I do have some of the SF sets and I love 'em! :) I've been thinking of checking out the Figarti sets as well. Thanks!

Justin,

If you want some more of the Special Forces sets, check with Bruntons Barracks, they have a few sets in stock.
