Moving onto the second world war and 2000 years later we have RS040B the army version of our popular naval Japanese radio set released 2 years previous. Comprises army operator with field radio and table. Sentry figure is shown for illustration purposes only, there is a top up order of this sentry figure arriving soon as well as B version of the sentry pictured with helmet. Some marching Japanese also in the pipeline and a mounted officer, now who would have thought that!
Priced at $55/£49 and limited to 100 in each version.

A versatile Roman Legionnaire who can be used as a single soldier on the battlefield or in a multiple group setting. Probably looks better as a group figure but of course depends on budget and requirements.
Comes in the normal 3 variants with all priced at $49/£39 and limited to 100 in each version.

ROM090 the last member of the group in beautiful scale armour peers from behind his shield waiting for the command to go. Scale and chain mail armour were prevalent throughout the Imperial era, the Roman army was not as uniformed as Hollywood would like us to believe!

This figure as with all the others in this group comes in the normal 3 variants, the A version with red shield, 30th Legion with black shield and 9th Legion also with black shield.

The Romans

ROM083, ROM085 and ROM087 'The Engineers' comprises three figures in different poses hard at work. Will look great in a camp scene or perhaps constructing a fort or defences? All three figures are available separately and each figure comes with two Pilum propping up his shield. Each engineer comes in the normal shield variations, the A with red shield, the B with 30th Legion and the C with the 9th black shield.
ROM083 comprises a Legionnaire bent down shovelling soil into his bucket.
ROM085 features a legionnaire taking a 'breather' whilst resting his foot on his pick axe
ROM087 our last legionnaire wipes his brow with a cloth, its hot work being an engineer! Note the helmet strapped to his belt which makes a nice touch.

Dear All,
we are pleased to be presenting our new figures for March 2018. Just one Spartan this month, a number of Romans, and a WW2 Figure. As you will see quite a batch of Romans with seven in total, however it should be noted we are now starting to reduce production on these Imperial pieces as we switch over to the Enemies of Rome and the Persians, only so much time and money as they say, so grab these offerings whilst they are available. Next month we have been promised two new Persians with the serial numbers XE011 and XE012 from our factory and hopefully some more WW2 pieces including our long awaited Kubelwagen. Our 3rd batch of Ancient Briton chariots has arrived, this means we are only now due to receive 15 more before production stops, if you do not have one then now may be a good time to take the leap. Our ROM048 elephant is just about sold out here with only 3 left in stock of the painted variant, we will be replacing it with a limited run of 100 Cathaginian beasts, which I must say look amazing and will be available in May or June! For those of you looking for some enemies of Rome we have 2 ancient Britons in great fighting poses due shortly and also some Ancient cavalry! These will be followed later by some of Hannibal's army which I am sure will please many of you out there.

The Spartans

SPA023 features a Spartan in the classic 'thrust' pose, comes in 3 shield variants with A version Spartan carrying a bronze patterned Lambda shield, B version Greek Hoplite carrying a shield depicting 2 black horses facing each other on a gold background and the C variant with Medusa on a black background.
All priced at $55/£45 and limited to 100 in each version.

The Romans look really great, they are on my list and will go well with the Watch Tower and the tents I have, the palisade needs a bit of repair work.

Would offer an option to T Gunn, do the same figures in white tunics.

These would make a very nice mini diorama if used with the Messenger from set ROM81, all kneeing while he explain the attack.

I bought it from Birmingham [UK] Toy Soldier show, it was second hand, but I think, stress think it was made by David at TM Terrain, it is nice and a great background to Roman T Gunn figures.
