Dear All

Welcome to Novembers 1/30 scale figure release news and I am happy to say we have plenty on offer this month, so let's start off with the Age of Napoleon.

Napoleonic Wars - Prussian Landwehr

Raised by a Royal Edict in 1813 calling for all men aged between 18 and 45 to bear arms as and when needed in the defence of the country, the Landwehr were an integral part of the Prussian military during the Napoleonic wars. The performance of the Landwehr in combat varied mainly due to poor discipline and a lack of training. They stampeded on several occasions but also had some splendid actions. Digby-Smith wrote: 'The Prussian Landwehr received their baptism of fire at Lowenberg, the Schweidnitz Battalion braved canister fire and threw the enemy back at the point of the bayonet. They were only taken out of the line when they ran out of ammunition, when they marched past Yorck, he had his line regiments present arms to them'. Blucher wrote: 'At first it was only so-so with the Landwehr battalions, but now that they've had a good taste of powder, they're as good as the line battalions.' Napoleon, however, had a very different opinion of them. When he saw some captured Landwehr, he wrote: ''The enemy infantry is absolutely wretched; this encourages me." However by 1815 at the battle of Ligny, the II Btn. of 1.Westphalian Landwehr formed a square on top of a hill near Brye. The Landwehr were charged three times by the French cavalry and each time the Landwehr musket volley repelled the French, obviously this sort of defence would not have encouraged Napoleon! We have 2 versions of Landwehr infantry for you to collect in this first release, the (A version) Silesian Landwehr wearing yellow collars and cuffs and the (B Version) Westphalian's wearing green collars and cuffs. Very much an action packed release we plan to add a Command Group in 2016 to complement these first figures. These figures are slightly smaller than our WW2 figures and will fit in with Britain's and K&C Napoleonic's.

NAP035 features an old hand charging at the French with bayonet fixed.

NAO036 is another charging figure but this time with his musket raised as he prepares to thrust his bayonet into the enemy!

NAP037 features a Landwehr infanteer advancing in line prior to opening fire or charging the French.

NAP038 kneeling firing infanteer takes aim at the enemy.

NAP039 standing firing rifleman with bayonet fixed.

NAP040 standing reload figure, one of my favourites so far!

Each figure is beautifully painted and at $40 is very good value for a limited edition run of 100 pieces.

World War 1

As its the 100th Anniversary of the epic action at Gallipoli we have released 3 figures that will fit in with those of you collecting the John Jenkins and also the K&C figures. Although similar to the afore mentioned manufacturers you will see noticeable differences that will add a unique touch to your collection.

GW055 standing rifleman wearing cut off trousers and small backpack. The A version represents an Australian infanteer wearing blue/grey shirt and the B version Aussie wears a white shirt.

The British soldier variant of this figures wears a blue/grey shirt for the C version and the D version wears a white shirt.

GW056 kneeling rifleman with goggles and small backpack, The A version represents an Australian infanteer wearing blue/grey shirt and the B version Aussie wears a white shirt.

The British soldier variant wears a blue/grey shirt for the C version and the D version wears a white shirt.

GW057 lying down rifleman with small backpack takes aim at the enemy. The A version represents an Australian infanteer wearing blue/grey shirt and the B version Aussie wears a white shirt.

The British soldier variant wears a blue/grey shirt for the C version and the D version wears a white shirt.

Each version is limited to only 50 pieces of each figure and is priced at $40 each.

World War 2

RS020C is the last of our charging Japanese soldiers, slightly different to the A/B versions who wore caps, this figure comes with helmet. Limited to 80 pieces worldwide and priced at $40.

RS032 comprises a dead Japanese soldier, the A version all dressed in green with the B version wearing khaki hat and trousers. Limited to 100 in the A version and 80 pieces in the B version and like most of our figures still priced at $40.

RS033 features a Japanese machine gunner with helmet hammering out rounds at our unfortunate Aussies! Dressed all in green and limited to 80 pieces and priced at $42.

FJ023 kneeling tank hunter with Panzerfaust and the world's first Assault rifle, the Stg 44. A super looking piece which is beautifully painted, limited to 100 pieces in each version and priced at $42. Comes in an 'A' Normandy version and a 'B' Winter version.

That is everything for this month, if you no longer wish to receive our newsletter please reply typing UNSUBSCRIBE in capitals in the header. Decembers releases will be smaller than this month's but earlier to coincide with the London show on the 5th December, I look forward to speaking with you all then. For those of you interested, December releases will feature the Foreign Legion artillery set (at long last!) and a nice batch of Fallschirmjager for you WW2 collectors.

Best wishes Vicki Lucas

Tom,

thanks for sending us reinforcements for Waterloo, I'm sure that Wellington will be relived as well as collectors who are also looking out for Blucher's men to come over the hill :)

I also like you comment "we plan to add a Command Group in 2016 to complement these first figures" so maybe officer, drummer and flag bearer ???

Well Done, that's my Xmas present sorted :)

Early xmas gift to me....Foreign Legion artillery set coming next month....

Pre-orders already coming in the FFL artillery set, at only 100 I am sure they will be a quick seller and with only 2 crew it will be very reasonably priced.

The Japanese RS031 artillery set A variant now down to only 4 sets left here, a good idea to grab one whilst they are still available in case you are pondering over this one!

Hi Guys.....
Quick question on this coming FFL artillery set release......
(1) Which will be the ordenance - field or mountain gun ( mountain guns were common due to the ability to break them down to reasonable pack mule loads - if mountain gun will there be a packed version or only an in action version? Only two soldiers as gun garrison is not enough to make any of the guns operational....will you sell complementary garrison....? From what period? Mexican Adventure?1800-1900 - Madagascar/IndoChina Adventure, or Marroco - Period? 1900-1918 Period?1920s Period......The piece and uniforms will vary substantially...:cool:{sm3}{sm3}
Any Picture of the mock up to help us decide??{sm2}{sm2}{sm2}

Something like this but slightly different from your picture, the gun will come assembled and in the firing position.
