Thanks Steve for sharing your creativity here with these scenes.

Love the ohotos, especially the first photo, from behind the Japanese position, really terrific shot of a nice diorama!:salute::

Love those beach scenes Steve.

By the way what brand is the Amtrak, I've been looking for one for a while.

Thanks Grey. The Pacific Marines was one of the ranges that really appealed to me and sandy beaches aren't too hard to recreate with a bag of playsand !:salute::

Way back than you were still making awesome dioramas Steve. Robin.

Cheers Robin:salute::
Though I see the lighting isn't the best but trying to recreate the Tropical Pacific Sun in a Cold England isn't so straight forward with limited photography skills!

Thank you Louis :salute::
Though the secret here was that I just set the Japanese defenders up in a small position in front of the Computer monitor with one of my frontal beach landing pics !:wink2:

Great series of photos Steve

Cheers Duke and I have plenty more uploaded over the years to the forum, just retrieving them that takes the time !:salute::

The Amtrac is actually just a BMC one that I painted as even back then when I took the photos K&C LVT 2 tracs were as scarce as hens teeth !
I think since then I've seen two come up for auction only on ebay France !
They are same size as the K&C LVT 4's. K&C sold BMC molds simplified for plastic production to them. Tracks are only real issue with them having a centre seam, but if bothered they could always be covered with some glued on sand or such like. At the time I think they were around £10 new, so worth taking the chance with them and I was pleased how my two turned out !

Nicely done Robin.

I think this shot is my favorite - great idea:

Nice job on the custom Amtrak as well.

K&C really did an impressive job with the variety of action poses among this theme. Just a few examples:

Terrific diorama Steve! I really like the USMC figures that King & Country did wearing the fully camouflaged uniforms.

Oldies but goodies. You have worked this series in so many different ways, a real credit to you Steve. Robin.

Looking through the bunker's aperture and seeing what's coming at you would be most terrifying. Nice work Steve on these other scenes.

Cheers,
Grey

This is great info Steve, much appreciated mate. I had no idea K&C had sold BMC the molds for plastic production. Yes I've found any of the K&C LVTs usually go for silly money and then the postage is nuts too.

I see BMC still sell them for about $15us, which with a little paint will scrub up nicely.

Would love to see a new Amtrak by K&C.

My WW2 Marines in Camouflage I did myself by repainting the figures with the Camo uniforms a long time before K&C did the camo uniforms, would of liked them, but the VN range started taking my TS budget by the time they were released !

Yes I had a lot of fun setting these dioramic scenes up and it's been good reminding myself of them, but haven't had them out for a few years due to the usual woe of collectors in not having the space and should really sell them on !

Yes seeing the flamethrower igniting and rushing towards you would of been terrifying. A horrific death for sure !

You're welcome mate !
Our much missed forum friend Harrie AKA Normandy 1944, did a fantastic Tarawa dio and used the 1.30 scale Figariti LVT1.
They also did other LVT's but in 1.32 so something to watch and not get caught out on.

Very difficult to part with them Steve as they constitute so many fond memories for you. I have reached saturation point also. Robin.

All very inspiring, so glad I bought into this series seeing what you can achieve with Andy’s range of poses. Robin.

Steve. One never tires looking at your creative scenes in the Pacific. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks very much Robin and Grey :salute::

Glad you enjoyed these photos from a few years ago, for newer Treefroggers it may be the first time they've seen them.
Thanks to everyone for the likes too !
