I've just found this replica on ebay. It looks very nice. Just wondering if any of you have bought anything similar from this company. The model looks stunning. The scale is 1/24. They also make 1/32 scale models. They are all hand carved.

I have posted this image before but as it wasn't made by K&C no-one seemed to be interested. It is a die cast 1/32nd scale model with sliding canopy, moving ailerons and rudder and hinged landing gear. 12 1/2 inches long, 14 inch wingspan. Cost £67.50. The company also produce a limited edition Me Bf109-G6 at £99.99 in 1/32nd scale and a limited edition Mosquito with moving flaps, removable engine covers, working under carriage and rotating propellers at £149 They can all be seen at www.nauticalia.com Trooper

I have about a dozen of the 1/32 scale hand carved mahogany models from the Phillipines. There are (or were) several companies that sold them here in the states. I recognize the elaborate detail on the stand, but can't recall the name of the company that sold them. Mine have similar stands, but with a simple description (e.g., P-51 Mustang). The company was based out of New York and I was able to buy mine for about $100-125 each about 10 years ago. They are great models. I wish I had more of them. They are extremely well done. Those are not decals on the model---they are hand painted.

Corgi are making a 1/32 RAF P-51-D next year for a fair price
