To wrap up our July release info: The Collectors Showcase is pleased to formally announce the Hanomag 251 Ausf. C. Built as the back bone of the Wermachts mechanized capability this model spares the collector nothing.

Firstly it comes in all three flavors: Winter, Normandy and DAK. Each crew set is also totally unique. The engine doors open to reveal a Maybach 6 cylinder engine. The rear dual pivot doors are fully functional and the interior is just loaded with equiptment. If that wan't enough the entire driver/passenger compartment is super detailed with seat, steering wheel etc. We've also added our hallmark element: the removable track. Each unit is boxed with a thrown track. Fling the engine compartment open add the thrown track and you've got a totally disabled vehicle.

Each vehicle comes with two figures and a three figure " jumping " booster set is available for each variant. MSRP for the vehicle is once again: $139.00.

At The Collectors Showcase we'll provide the collecting community with the finest editions to their collection. Expect only the best, demand only the best: settle for nothing but perfection!

As you can see we believe in staying focused on the products, and the innovations, not by heaping shere volumes of varying product into the marketplace. If we just stay focused on innovation, and do it well: the customer votes appropriately: thats the key to success!:D

More pictures please Brian. I am going to want the AK and Normandy versions. Are the soldier figures going to be different in each version?

Great idea to have the jumping figures. When do we get to see the Normandy and DAK versions? It's going to be hard to decide which to get!

Wow! CS and KC are gonna break me with all the great stuff they are releasing.

While KC has its merits, clearly the future of highly tuned extaordinary military miniatures is The Collectors Showcase:D

In about two weeks we'll have a site update with a bevy of images that really show off the full range of 251's and crews available.

We did unique crew sets for each unit. It really was a great project to work on. The interior is so super detailed its quite amazing.

Brian,

Will TM Terrain have these for sale in Europe?

Very nice indeed Brian. Great action poses

I'm curious how (and how well) those jumping figures stay in place. Looks like they're holding on by their fingers.

I will definitely get 3 DAK versions and if available, 3 more in Wehrmacht gray.

An excellent question. The figures mounted so easily when in the polyresin stage but as soon as we went to metal there was no way that they would balance, it was just too risky.

So after alot of work and engineering ( using our proprietary physics model that can mimick gravity, volume and weight in our 3D system ) we found that rigid hangars worked perfect. We created very fine hangers that latch onto the edges and run behind each boot. The boots have small pegs that " key " into the " hangers ". It really worked out incredibly well.

The hangars are actually in use in the photograph, they are very hard to detect and really help to increase the illusion of a moment caught in time: in 3D!

Great question, great. Im glad to explain what we went through. Projects as challenging as these are what we hope to continually work on as we move forward into this great endeavor of ours. Often times its the subtle nuance of a particular set that really provides the best satisfaction at the end of the prototyping stage.

regards,

Brian

Absolutely beautiful looking Hanomag, I love the fact that it doesn't have the squeaky clean look, need to be a little dirty to keep it realistic, and the paint job on the soldiers looks to be more on page with K&C soldiers, I know the guys at C.S. get tired of having to respond to or read about being compatable with K&C but most of us WWII guys have put alot of money into K&C products and having another company that we can match them up with is a big plus for us collectors, with that said, will we be getting any American armour from C.S.?? also will we see anymore WWII soldiers on the 1:30 scale?? thanks again to Collectors showcase for some great sets...Sammy

Well, Brian, I just bought a new car and wanted to lay off figures for a few months, but man you hooked me with that Hanomag - very nice. I don't collect much Napoleonic, but the two CW cavalry are terrific too.
