Hanomag 251 ausf c pictures (4 Viewers)

I am really looking forward to seeing these in person and in the Normandy version. I want to see how secure the troopers are before I commit. I can say that I have been waiting several years for a Hanomag and if this one is as good in person as it is in this picture, it is the must have of the year for me.

BTW- I'd hate to be the trooper who jumped off that AFV before the guy with his fixed bayonet- major no no !! OUCH!!:D:D

Cheers and thanks for the great looking release

;) Does this MEAN that we're getting ither PANZER GRENADIER'S, or DAK Infantry that will go with these Fine Hanomag's -SDKFZ-251?

i am alot like maddadicus in that i let a vehicle stand on its own merits regardless of the mfg. i also have about 55% gloss and 45% matte. trophy and frontline were my main gloss mfg and kc has been my main matte mfg since 1995. i have the marder, 222 and the ak 88. these are fabulas pieces except the figures are to dark. the vehicles are outstanding. the new 251 winter version looks like a must have. and although i am almost strictly a trophy napoleonics guy those polish lancers look like they are going to push me over the edge. they look great. i hope the mfgs keep battling out but do keep it civil. and think jagdtiger or su 152. thanks for the choices.

actually i should clarify one point. the figures faces were to dark. as for the german camo patterns i think they are the best. kc needs to take a look at your helmet covers and pea pattern camo because they are spot on. kc made some figures that looked good except they had helmet covers with falschirmjager camo patterns which has discouraged my purchase of those items and i buy most kc put out.

Is this the "full-size" halftrack?
Thanks

The 251 was likely the most produced German halftrack. If by full size, you mean bigger than the sdkfz 250 (AK029 - Rommel's greif, and WS121), then it is bigger 19 ft./8 tonnes vs 15 ft/ 5.8 tonnes and it is the full size fighting halftrack. There were other halftracks which were larger but unarmed with open sides used to carry gun crews and haul guns. The sdkfz 6 (9 tonnes/15 people), and sdkfz 7 (12 tonnes/ 12 men) used to haul the 88 cm gun and 150 mm howitzer.

Brian:

Any chances that you are producing one in Wehrmacht grey version?

Any idea when we may see pics of the DAK and Normandy versions?

Cheers

We'll get those up very soon. I would prefer to get the site updated at the same time so folks can get scooting on their pre-orders. Perhaps in about 7-10 days but no longer than that.

There is still another WWII vehicle/companion piece not yet announced!:D

We've been busy busy busy;)

regards,

Brian

Perhaps it is the long-awaited Mk. IX Panthiger with it's twin 88's?:D -- lancer

Hmmm ! Now what piece would want to be seen in public with a 251 Ausf C?:confused::confused:

And the guessing begins anew. :D

I'm going to guess sthat the companion pc. can be pulled by the 251. Maybe a small PAK gun?
