Chris my friend, there is only one kind of logic and as I use it, I humbly submit it is anything but circular. But, at least (some) lawyers have some passing knowledge of logic; now accounting logic, is of course, an oxymoron.

I hear you!! There is a line in "The Princess Bride"- " you have a dizzying intellect"- I do hear that line repeated in my head over and over reading some of your posts!!

BTW- Accounting logic absolutely, positively does not exist- or I'd be out of a job- again!!
