Concerning AK29, some weeks ago, I purchased this from George @ Minuteman at a show.( This is not about him. I got a great deal ,but decided to limit my K/C to armor and vehicles. It is my practice not to return items to a dealer just because of my buying whims) Anyway, sold it on e-bay. Buyer got a good deal. He gets it and tells me the gun will not stay up ( I think we have covered that issue before )and that the wheels fell off. Now that is a new one. Has anyone heard of that problem with any K/C piece before ? Would have to be recent stuff since they started with the rolling wheels..( I told him to send it back and I would reimburse him including shipping. No word back yet .Just wondering if it might be a legit defect...Michael

Geez, crap tracks, suspect Rommel, drooping gun and now faulty front wheels. I think it's best if you send it to me downunder where I can hide it in my collection :)

When I hear all this, I'm glad I didn't buy that one...;) :p

Gees, are you talking about the Rummel set (Ak 29) or the 10.5c artillery set (Ak27)? I'm a little confused.

My Ak29 is in perfect condition and the gun is easily elevated with a little black foam.

AK29SL is a fine model, well made with no flaws on mine.

Highly recommended, very collectible, in my opinion!

i agree no particular problem with this model, maybe a lot to speak over and the superfast sold out has produced great expectations on this release, more of the usuals......
in this case is a little bit unlucky: one of 10, one of 20,one of 50 (nobody knowns) can have a fault....
i hope the packages (i dont talk about ak29)developement change in better in the new releases:rolleyes:

I guess I have lived a charmed life. I have over 2,000 pieces (WWII and Napoleonic) and none of them have ever arrived in other than perfect condition. I would agree that it is a very minor problem.

The great thing about this group of collectors, especially the dealers, is the customer service. I have had great dealings with everyone I have bought from or asked a question via email. They have all responded in the best ways.

I am one happy customer and collector; but then, I watch Sponge Bob Square Pants and the Simpsons so my satisfaction level is somewhat low.:D

I agree about the quality of these pieces. I am probably in the minority about not liking the new elevating guns that mostly do not stay elevated, because of the weight. As to the wheels falling off , he decided " to keep it, if I took some bucks off. " Almost said no, but the mounting e-bay and shipping fees to resell it was not worth the difference. I was probably scammed, but sometimes, we have no choice...Michael :(

My view of this is to call the person's bluff: if you don't want it, send it back. Someone tried that on me a few years ago and when I told them to send it back, I heard no more. Call their bluff.

I'm with Brad on this Michael, call his bluff.

Email him saying you have a buyer if he doesn't want to pay the full price and considering the collectability of this piece (despite it's faults), I'll bet he agrees to accept it at the original price. If he does decide to return it he has to pay return postage and you only have to refund the purchase price not including the postage costs to him - that is a standard eBay seller requirement. Therefore you won't loose money on postage costs and can resell the item at the RRP which would be a reasonable price under the circumstances being a rare item with a few minor problems.
