Good Morning

Firstly hope everyone who went to the London Show yesterday enjoyed themselves and found some bargains. Could not make it myself as was ill, woke up Thursday morning feeling as if i had been hit by a truck, not Covid, but was a bad cold, which bordered on Flu, yesterday was still feeling awful so decided not to go to show, but thankfully a mate collected some stuff for me and will deliver it later. Plus the mate called me from the show and gave me the low down and sent pictures of stuff for sale, which he bought for me. On the call he mentioned there was talk at the show that K & C had changed ownership? They were not there, were booked to be there but were not. This has been playing on my somewhat haddled, thou illness induced, mind. So thought I would ask if it was true or not?

My main, by a long way, collection is K & C. I know i have been a little negative about some aspects of K & C on the forum, but still think their stuff is the bees knees.

Andy rarely does the UK shows mate. K&C UK don't exist anymore, there are just private dealers who sell on their websites and ebay. There is no UK branch of K&C. I'd love to start one but unfortunately there is one in Glasgow - which is prettyclosse to me - it's rubbish and they don't have any of the more recent releases from past 5 years... but it's there.

Re your question…If K&C had changed hands I’m pretty sure someone would have told me about it!!!

As for ‘booking the show’ and then not turning up …Not true again. Due to continued restrictions here in HK and the production slowdown in China a visit to the London Show was simply not practical.

So, there you have it…However, as 2023 will mark the 40th Anniversary of K&C I sincerely hope we will be at next December’s Show.
In the meantime best wishes to one and all and…happy collecting!
Andy.

Think he means K & C Hong Kong, as i heard snippets at the show, was a mixture of new Investors and that Andy had sold out and was acting as the frontman etc. Nothing solid, only rumours, wait to see what Andy says.

Is your place in Glasgow Treasure Bunker? Know it well, nice guys in there and they found it hard to get new releases at a reasonable price and quantity. Go in there whenever in Glasgow and have picked up some pieces there, but they are not a Toy Soldier shop, more a militaire shop, they have some nice other bit and bobs in there.

That's them mate. They're a little bit infamous in the militaria world. I've picked up a picked up a few things from them over the years - toy soldier wise.

They're registered k&c dealers mate so they should be putting in monthly orders with Andy. They don't so it's a waste.

The main talk at the London Show yesterday was not K&C changing ownership (false rumour) but that the venue was moving to Milton Keynes.

Did not hear that one while there, heard the rumours about K & C, but thanks for the clarification Andy [other post on this thread] on the situation.

Thanks for the clarification Andy, think the 'booking for the show' was because K & C were down on the exhibitors list on the website when i looked about a month ago, just checked and K & C are still on having tables, but it does say TBC.

Got the new 2022 Santa on the Polar Bear set at the show, it is a beast of a release, very happy with it.

I would say that the Rolling Stones and Queen Elizabeth are currently in the lead..................................

I think thats another false rumour the show is moving out of London. no chance. Not for the March show anyway!

From Whom did you hear about the show moving?

I think thats another false rumour the show is moving out of London. no chance. Not for the March show anyway!

The March Show was being advertised on the flyers being handed out by the Show organizers therefore it should be safe. The possible move was mentioned by several stall holders and the Show organisers denied this.

Re your song choices…I’ve always loved The Byrds, ever since I heard ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ and they were one of my all-time favourite American bands.

The reference to ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’i is a wee bit more obscure but I assume means that our lives and the world around us is constantly changing…Well, I reckon I worked that one out a long time ago but thanks for the the reminder anyway…

As for ‘The Party’s Over’…Well, speaking personally I’m still enjoying it although the occasional hangover can be a bit of a *****!(the name for a female dog).

Adios Muchachos and Hiyo Silver!
Andy.

If there was a move it not be for months and there would 2 or even 3 more shows before the move. Would take time to organise and there would have to be considerable lead time to give everyone the information required to organise. If they do move I hope it will stay in London, moving out would restrict attendees and exhibitors in terms of travel, especially the non-UK exhibitors/visitors.
