Has wbritains lost its way (2 Viewers)

Unfortunately you still need ranks of red coats and impis of Zulu warriors so the individual figures are kind of necessary
Some good ideas there all round and most of the other manufacturers who did the AZW back in the day like Trophy and Little Legion all eventually got round to some of those very sets you describe. Lancers, Chelmsford swanning around at Mangeni Falls etc.
Like your idea about the political figures, Frere and Chetswayo. Would like to see Bishop Colenso and Shepstone. Don't think any one has done them.

I think the latest releases are good additions to the range, I still get excited anticipating the next releases , I think you have some good ideas ,and I am sure Britains are working hard on the next figures and will not disappoint us , I hope we get a few surprises in the coming year

I am still enjoying this range very much, as always though I wish it was spread out throughout the year to help with the wallet !!

Very nice lancers, who makes those?

Lancers are the latest releases from TG. I find the Britain's the easiest to budget for as the releases are far and few between. I also dabble with their WW1 items. Robin.

I received the latest WAN figures/set and all on time! {bravo}}.....and may it long continue.

Jeff :salute::

What are other AZW collectors thinking about the line and 2015?

There comes a point when however good an individual piece is. As soon as it's added to a large diorama it simply merges in and vanishes. As a consequence those with limited space can look back retrospectively across the released range and be selective. When did the AZW range originally start , 2008? That's seven years. Perhaps for many people there's no longer the excitement of the new releases. What's required is something new and fresh that grab's ones attention. Personally I'm sticking with what I already have in the AZW range. Any additions will be matched by corresponding disposals.

The latest batch of Zulu are arriving now, 8 in all (ex exclusives). The horizon is looking bleak from now on. Any new releases will not arrive to the second half of this year (Fall/Winter) and if they are more generic foot figures, well I leave the collectors to view that. Really difficult to remain keen. Lots of good insights on this thread though and nothing that Britain's could turn their hand to if they wished. Robin.

We just received the Ambulance which is a stunner! There has to be some generic figures, How individual can a line of guys firing at zulus be? I think so far there is quite a bit of variety.

At the price of figures these days I am thankful for the individual figures to allow me to continue collecting. I am dreading the move to Ulundi !!

The ambulance is a stunner , I think the new releases add something different to my dio especially the 24th casualties, just an idea, I would like to see is a 24th casualty stripped of is tunic as there is a few Zulus running around in Redcoats , I wouldn't mind Ulundi slowly introduced towards the end of the year ,

This might be a blessing that they are taking a break, this might give them a time to get a better perspective than simply pumping out these infantry figures, my rorke drift diorama is manned by same number of 24th as in real life. it might give me a chance to add to some of my other lines ...
