Nice job Harold! I picked mine up also but it,ll be awhile before I get any paint on them, To many other half finished projects to tackle first but I,m looking forward to getting around to them.
Hats off to Hat! There going full throtle into these Napoleonics. I wonder if they,ll get into any cavalry soon??? It would be nice to see someone do Russian, Prussian, and Austrian cavalry in 1/32, Now that would be a first!
Some nice Quality French cuirassiers would be great also, The call to arms cavalry figures that came out are WAY to small and just can,t pass for heavy cavalry(large men on large horses) in my book!:(
Keep it up HAT!!! Great stuff harold!

These were painted before Christmas. Had them on the camera .I did a few more Line Grenadiers and volitgiers, some command too. Already on the shelf, somewhere amongst the French Hordes at the cave.

I'll either glue them to fender washers for some extra weight and heft.

Or I will glue 3-4 to one large flat steel base. When i do it this way, I usually have to trim the plastic bases and do that in advance of painting or even priming.Sheet metal shears rip right thru them.

Once figs are painted I flock each individuals base.Once dry I glue them down to their uniform cut 2 1/2" square bases
in 2 ranks or staggered in 2 ranks, then flock the the steel base.
Then shoot the works with matte sealer, twice, then a shot of dullcote.
Works pretty good.IMG_0898.JPG

I like glue some of mine on metal...Napoleonics at this stage as there numbers take up a lot of space.
This gives me the option of storeing them in plastic tubs with magnetic tape.
I just cut bases at work that are a good fit with the figs about 1.0 thick. sizes like 25x25...30x25 or 40x25.

thanks fubar and rob for the ideas,i will look into them,i did use washers once but the ones i used were to thick,i will keep my eyes peeled for any suitable stuff at work,i am starting to get the numbers up with my acw army and i can see it being time consuming moving them around, come to think of it is going to take hours just to flock them.
cheers boys simo
