Thank you for the inspiration of the mini-dio concept and great photos. This is a terrific solution for those of us with limted display space and a desire to put our soldiers in context. The men of the 24th below salute you.

Thanks Randy and it's been a pleasure seeing what you've been posting throughout the forum and nice mini dio. I'm sure we're both going to enjoy adding Britain's to our Zulu War Collection. Must admit I've got a slight edge over you. My Trophy figures have been resting on the laurels so thought I let them earn their keep........The Lt.

I'll make it a ZW style sun-hat. Dyed with coffee or tea of course, and the plate removed.

Fantastic photo Lt.
As I've said before, you are an inspiration and I'm slowly but surely being converted to collecting ZW because of your posts.

Kind Regards

Wasn't it just Oz. I can't think of a better thread.
100%.

Hi Harry, can you provide some hints for searching the web for suitable background pics.

Btw, it seems peace has broken out on the forum again, it must be the season of goodwill :)

I use photos that I've taken myself Oz. Most of them were shot in Oman and Yemen.
I can send you copies if you want.
As for the web, you could try a "search" for PowerPoint background photos.
Yup, peace and goodwill to all men.....and the ladies as well of course.

Cheers

Lt., Has done a great job with the mini dios. With the holiday season coming who knows what will transpire. I was at the Toy Soldier gallery and bought some Shenandoah figures for ACW.:)

I see my Lord General you've awoken from a deep sleep. I needed assitance in protecting one of my wagons and seeing that you along with the now Captain Fish and Machine Gun totting Modwall and the lack of coffee being availabe from Brad I've had to turn to the infamous George Armstrong Custer along with members of the Gallant 7th Calvary to defend it. I know it's revisionist history but hope he has better luck than he had at the Little Big Horn and must say it looks a little doubtful with what he's facing....The Lt.

Nice job Lt. Boy that South African backdrop does great double duty for John Ford's Monument Valley. I almost expect the Duke himself to appear.

Good idea Oz. We could chuck some on a seperate thread titled 'Backdrops' or similar and anybody that's got some good 'uns could add to it. I'll get some up in a bit.
