The guard Corporal of Horse serving "Gunfire" (hot sweet tea with 50/50 rum!)to the sentries.
The statue of the Duke of Cambridge (who rode a Household Cavalry horse) Midnight Christmas Eve the lads climb up to bed down the horse and give him a hay net.
Usually the best turned out trooper gets the best post, but at Christmas the guard is inspected in fancy dress! Obviously in plenty of time to get changed but there's usually a bit of tinsel left on the kit!
