I highlighted the leaves with a lighter green. More foliage was added. Then white glue was spread over the groundwork and tree branches and snow crystals were sprinkled over the groundwork. The deer was set in its place. Finished.
This represents a wintry scene where a Heian Palace Guardsman has shot and killed a protected deer. Thanks for the idea, Brad! I am very pleased with this piece because if you follow this thread from the very beginning, you can see the amount of work needed to bring this old kit up to speed.
When I look at pics of deer with white spots, these are very well defined. So I repainted the deer, paying attention to the white spots. I think that this piece is now finished and I've signed off on the base.
