Moe, did you notice that it is preceded by 'The Eagle and the Hawk' at 8pm? It is a 1933 Gary Grant WW1 aviation film, also starring Fredric March. I'll be watching them both.:wink2: -- Al

First time I've seen Hells Angels on the large screen HD. Picked up some great details in terms of actual period aircraft...Avro 504 trainers, SE-5's, Sopwith Camels, Sopwith Snipes, modified Jennys, Thomas Morse scouts, and Fokker D-7's. Also, Monte was a real dork and Helen was a tramp. -- Al

Watched both "The Eagle and the Hawk" and "Hell's Angels" tonight as well. First time viewing for me for either movie. All we needed to round out the night was "The Dawn Patrol" . . .
:smile2: Mike

Found 'The Eagle and the Hawk' to be something of a modern film in it's depiction of what war does to individuals, in this case the Fredric March character. Nothing of the 'stiff upper lip' attitude at all and quite a disturbing characterization of what PTSD ( or shell shock or combat fatigue) can do. The value of the film is watching the March character caught in his private h*ll of suffering but I did enjoy the rather brief flying scenes and the DH-9 as the main aircraft. -- Al

I bought hells angels years ago on dvd and it just hit me.
If we were to tie John Jenkins down to a chair, ala clockwork orange and repeat it over and over.
Maybe we can get the a Gotha
