As a new member I would like to say hello and introduce myself. I am John and I live in a small village in Lincolnshire. I have been a collector of plastic toy soldiers since my childhood, though have moved into metal figures in the last year. I collect William Britains matte figure covering a number of periods. My partner, Karen, is more focused as she collects just AZW. I just don't sem to be able to settle on any one campaign. I have been reading various posts for the last month and decided I should join. I look forward to a long and rewarding association.

A very warm welcome John, good to have you aboard and hope you enjoy this excellent forum, all the best

Greetings and welcome to the forum. There are many collector's who can't focus on one campaign (myself, for one) and find that the variety is the best part of this hobby. The many choices are what makes this fun. -- Al

Welcome and get Karen to join too! It's good that you have a partner that understands and likes collecting too, something not all of us can say...

Have fun,
Paulo

Hi John,

I want to add my welcome to those you have already received! I think you will find participating on the forum adds much joy to your hobby. The forum is a wonderful place to meet other collectors, compare notes, share collections, gather ideas and information, and, generally, enjoy the fellowship of other collectors. I look forward to a long and warm association with you.

By the way, I am one of those collectors who enjoys great diversity in my collection. However, in spite of the appeal of many, many interests, I have begun to focus my collection in three areas: 1) the Delhi Durbar (Beau Geste, Britains, Hocker, and Marlborough); 2) the Monarch Regalia Samurai; and, 3) the King and Country Ancient Egyptians. Only time will tell how long I can continue to maintain this focus.:D There are just too many temptations!

Again, welcome to the forum. Please visit often and post frequently.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Welcome John.Good to see you have a partner who likes the hobby too.Even though you collect different ranges is there one that stands out a little bit more?I've collected ACW,Roman Empire,Viking ,Crusades but focus mostly on French-Indian War now.Again welcome.
