hi guys (and girls?),

I am completly new on this forum,so a freshy .
While hunting some vintage action man I ran into this box by CBG Mignot.
I do have a small collection of tin/lead soldiers most of them manufactured in Belgium or neighbouring countries.
But I am not a specialist in the CBG Mignot figures.
The online version of the Blondieau collection catalogue does not mention this box.
The box is numebered with 8 , there is no date on the box.
Sorry for the crappy pics.

So if anyone could give me an approx manufacturing year and an idea of rarity and value would be appreciated.
thanks

joe

Hello Joe,

This is boxed set of Mignot flats produced around the 1930's judging from the box cover.
I would value this at $200-$350.

Joe: Contact Jim Carleton at www.lepetitsoldat.com who is the only Mignot dealer in the U.S. Has lots of experience and he will be glad to help you. Tommy

Hi Guys,

I saw some of these last year in Paris and I will tell you that they sell for a lot more than 200 to 300. One like this not the same one was in the 750 Euro range. So I would say you could probably split the difference and put the value around 500. Which auction did you find it at?

Dave

I know that strictly as a collector the Mignot line of flats are no longer produced on an ongoing basis, but yearly select sets are produced in a limited release and they always, even unpainted sell for a premium generally due to the high quality of the engravings.
