I thought it was LOJ-030...the Galilean Fishing Boat..
or
LOJ-032 the Fisherman Set...

but neither K&C stock photo shows the basket of fish in it...

can anybody help please?

Case solved...asked AI...."what king & country toy soldier sets come with a basket of fish"...

very informative answer!!! I'm impressed...

my answer #2 AE-050...

Depending on the historical era you are collecting, King & Country has released four distinct sets that prominently feature a fisherman or merchant with a basket of fish:

1. Life of Jesus Series
  • Set Name: The Fishermen Set
  • Product Code: LoJ032
  • Status: Retired
  • Description: A three-figure set depicting biblical fishermen surrounded by their nets and baskets of fish right as they receive the call to "Follow Me!" [1]

2. Ancient Egypt Series
  • Set Name: The Fisherman
  • Product Code: AE050
  • Status: Retired
  • Description: Features a small boat with two figures; while one man steers, the other spears fish, and an almost full basket of fish is included as a distinct accessory piece.

3. Streets of Old Hong Kong Series
  • Set Name: The Fish Seller Set
  • Product Code: HK260 (or the older HK164)
  • Status: Retired
  • Description: A highly detailed, multi-piece civilian set depicting a traditional marketplace street scene with a vendor selling fresh catch out of flat woven fish baskets. Individual companion figures like HK259 (The Fisherman) were also made to complement this layout.

4. Diorama & Scenic Components
  • Set Name: Baskets & Jars
  • Product Code: SP059
  • Status: Retired
  • Description: If you are looking for standalone market accessories rather than a figure set, this scenic pack includes various loose baskets filled with fish and produce to build out a village square or dockside harbor.

Interesting, I was going to suggest the HK range. Scary what AI can do these days!😬
I agree…it is scary what AI can do… that was an extremely detailed answer it gave when I asked “which King & Country sets have baskets of fish”………probably only AI and Andy could’ve answered that question… especially in such detail as AI did… I was amazed at the quick…concise and detailed answer it gave me.

Mike this would have been a great treasure hunt for the forum to research. Agree it’s the AE050. Robin.

Bill Sager’s website could have answered it but not as quickly. I’d still rather do the detective work than use AI. More rewarding to do the spade work.

Yes…Sager’s website could’ve answered it if you had the time to spare to research all the King & Country genres… I got those results from AI in 10 seconds… they told me the four specific genres that had fish baskets… of every single set that Andy produced… AI immediately identified the four genres and the specific codes of those items…now that’s hard to beat…

As I said I find the search or the hunt more rewarding. Letting some machine do it for you is easy but you’re not using your brain or thinking.

Robin… definitely it’s AE-050… that fish basket got mixed up in a large diorama I have of Ancient Egypt and Life of Jesus… i’m really glad I got the quick answer from AI…

yes...yes I get it...the spade work...the detective work...
the hunt is more rewarding to you...
not using your brain or thinking...if you don't scroll through K&C's 100,000 pictures on Sager's website...is not the preferred way for you...

you don't like a quick easy answer...you prefer a long, time consuming search as more rewarding...

not to beat a dead horse...but my search is over...and like you say about the Sopranos...tastes differ...

still I can admit...while I'm not a fan of AI...I surely see some benefits in AI...

in 10 seconds I had the most comprehensive answer I could imagine...

no need to spend hours searching in an abstract way when the answer is seconds from your fingertips...

I get Mike's approach and probably would do the same if I really got stuck, however like you I'd prefer to use the gray-matter if possible and enjoy a challenge.

The over reliance on tech dumbs the population down something terrible. You only have to look at recent survey's to prove that. Since 2010 there has been a significant slide in children's IQ as a result of screen-use, which also significantly contributes to a surge in adolescent mental health issues and general overall resilience.
