Hello everyone!
Would love any help identifying these Swiss wooden to soldiers I recently found from my fathers childhood. There are estimated to be from somewhere between 1935-45 and were in Switzerland. Any help with identity and value would be most appreciated.
thank you!

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for sharing these! I've never seen anything like them. They do have a charm about them. I wonder if they were only sold in a limited area around the place where they were manufactured. They look like they were cut out to a pattern, like jigsaw pieces.
Looks like the white horse is missing its back leg-compare it to the brown horse.
Was your father from Switzerland, or is it just that these came from there?

Prost!
Brad

Yes, my father was born in Wildegg, Switzerland in 1936 so these may have been made in Switzerland and would have been from the same time period. The white horse is missing a rear leg and the 11 soldiers directly to the right are missing the tops of the guns but everything else is still complete.

Those are great! I have to say that they are unique I’ve never seen Swiss soldiers in wood before. I do own a nice German lancer that is wood from around WWI so seeing them is really cool! I can’t speak to value but since they were your fathers I would say priceless. Thanks for sharing these

I feel like I have seen these done in high gloss as ornaments on a Christmas tree somewhere...
but have no clue where I saw them...
