Hello Folks, I have this indian on Horseback with a rifle that I cannot identify. Similar to a Barclay's BAC but not quite. It measures a little less than 3 inches across and about 2 1/4 inches high.

Thanks in advance....Clutch

This is another job for John (johnnybach). If anyone can identify hollowcast cowboys and Indians at this point, he can.

Prost!

I know enough about many of the old British Hollowcasts to ID MOST of them Brad - but I have never seen one like this before. If I had to make a guess ( because of the style), I would have guessed Barclay/Manoil. It has that "narrow" look about it - which reminds me of the very few that I've seen over this side of the pond. (and I mean VERY few over here). But that's just my guess.

You either know 'em or you don't - and I don't know this one.

Who is the Barclay-Manoil expert over there - where they were made, of course?????? jb

I think you're right that it's a dimestore. I can check in O'Brien's book and see.

Prost!

Gentle Friends,

I am certainly no expert when it comes to American dimestore figures or old British hollowcast figures, but this figure reminds me of some of the post WWII Japanese produced figures I have seen. The Japanese were fond of producing figures based on the dimestore figures, but in a much smaller scale. The dimensions Clutch mentioned seems to me to fit the size pattern of the Japanese produced figures rather than American dimestore figures.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Thank You folks. I did see something similar to a Barclays, just a little different and a bit smaller. Could be japan.
