Don't believe everything Andy says. He has said never to things he later produced - like no more Russians because they don't sell. He is just as likely to start on a single barrel AA AFV and change his mind that a 4 barrel looks better and do that instead. Fortunately, he doesn't seem to compromise so it isn't too likely we will end up with a 2 barrel version. :D:D

We definitely need another Flakpanzer as its been awhile since the Gepard 38t came out. The versions on this thread would look great in the Market Garden range!

Another must for 2012. Thanks for pushing Wayne, at least it is not that S plane you have mentioned once or twice, Cheers, Robin.

Could not resist. The Ostwind is One of my favorite models. This ones a Monogram 1/32 from the mid seventies. The one I had as a kid probably met it's fate at the end of my pellet rifle, but I found another and built it about 10 years ago.

I built the Monogram one, too, along with the rest of their 1/32 kits. Great **n, back in the day.

From Wayne's diagram, and from the other photos, it appears that there were different variants to the turret. I imagine that if there were, it had to do with the gun that was installed.

No umlaut, by the way, on the name, just "Ostwind", "East wind", in German. The "ost-" root takes an umlaut only in its adjectival/adverbial use, "östlich", "easterly".

Prost!
Brad
