An excellent thread and, this IMO is the true meaning of the word hero. They mullered Hitler gave him his first beating and showed the german war machine was anything but invincible

Priceless,,I had a diary my father kept ,48 B17 missions,,every target ,remarks,bombload,,escorts,,mention of being hit by jets,,losses,,and some relevant newspaper clips the family sent him,,im very thankful I was able to give it to my daughter.
