I've got some batteries charged up. Here are some better Pictures
The First are three horses. Two have no holes where the rider slots in on the other ones. The two without the slots are identical and the other one has a different base.
This second pic is of the Foot Soldiers. Two of them have larger rifles and one has a smaller one. The lead on the rifles is very soft. The one with the smaller rifle has a separate sword whilst the other two have the swords moulded onto the leg.
This third cavalry unit is the best of them all. His arm comes out and it can hold a flag. The head comes off but the torso/legs are attached to the horse unlike the other cavalry units.

These are two more of the cavalry units. The assembled one has a detachable rider. The riders head also comes off. The rider slots into a hole in the horse. I left the unit on the left to show the individual components. This one also has a metal saddle which is sandwiched between the rider's torso and the horse. Like the other one this slots into the horse and you can see the slot.
This last one is on a horse like in the first picture. The Rider's location shaft that fits into the hole appears to have broken off. The rider has a torso and the head is individual too. There is also a spare flag, but there are no soldiers/cavalry units that can have this other than the one below.

I agree with the others that they are probably not Britains, the heads, painting and bases aren't usual for Britains. The face painting looks continental European. However, I'm no expert, especially on "B" series 1/40-something scale that these appear to be.
Two experts that can are Norman Joplin [FONT=verdana, arial]info@normanjoplin.com and James Opie [/FONT]jamesopie@yahoo.co.uk who have written over a dozen toy soldier books between them.
Opie's website states: "If you have toy soldiers, and have questions about them, want to know what they are worth, or how to sell them, I am glad to help. Please feel free to email me at jamesopie@yahoo.co.uk or alternatively phone me on +44 (0)20 7794 7447, evenings or weekends. You can leave a message if necessary."

There are some figures very close to the ones you have for auction that say they are Heyde. The time period and the company are all correct and in line with the reply you received from Mr Opie so I would probably ammend your text a little on the ebay add unless of course they are already being bid on.

You can go ahead and type a list of the soldiers and post it here as a reply to this thread or you can go to the classified thread and open it and in the upper left corner you will see a new thread button click on that and put the information there. I am sure people with get intouch with you. Post the information about what you have for sale and prices and contact information.
