Does anyone remember this playset? HG Toys Land and Sea World War II Playset.

I am trying to find one. It came with a destroyer, submarines, PT boats. It was a neat set and probably not worth a lot of money (HG playsets were not nearly as popular or collectible as Marx's) but was a give from my grandfather. He served in the Navy during WWII. We used to set up various naval battles. Some very fond memories for me. Any one with any suggestions of ideas where I might be able to find one, the help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Unfortunately it looks like you just missed one on eBay.

There's lots of pics here you can download though. Just keep watching eBay and I am sure another one will turn up.

Yes, that is the ONE!!!

I have been looking for this set for a long time, off and on for years. The minute I let my guard down, one slips past me. I was offshore for work without internet for a couple of weeks and then this one gets listed. I saw it too late, but this has re-energized my efforts of locating one. I had pretty much given up. You used to be able to contact Ebay buyers and sellers pretty freely, but Ebay has really cracked down on sharing people's contact information. I guess they are so scared somebody will do some sort of deal on the side and they will lose out on a commission. I'd love to contact the person who bought this and see if they were interested in selling it. Like I said, this has more sentimental value to me as far as memories go, as opposed to "collector value." I'd gladly pay more than what the winner paid.

Any other ideas on where I might look?

Thanks in advance.
