I was in Hobby Lobby this morning and spotted a "Little Bighorn" bagged set produced by an obscure company. Looking at the figures, I was pleased to see that the casting and sculpting were quite good, but then I noted that mixed in with the blue cavalry figures were several Airfix Australian Infantry soldiers - including the fellow with the Thompson and grenade!

Probably would have helped out abit. Like a Stuart tank.

LOL. Is this a reference to the Twilight Zone episode where a Stuart tank crew hit a time warp and ended up a the Little Big Horn? They really good have helped.:D -- Al

If Custer had a Stuart tank AND the Queensland Mounted Infantry he might have won that fight.

If Custer used some sense to begin with he wouldn't have needed either tanks, machines guns, or mounted infantry. Still, I suppose that a few grenades wouldn't have hurt.

You're all assuming that Custer wouldn't have been facing some dug-in 88's! That would have rendered his Stuart's useless.:D

Well he could always have called in a Cobra strike.
No, No, No! The Indians would simply have deployed their RPGs when the Cobras moved in close because of over-confidence. Custer would have been better with stand-off drones. -- Al

No, girls weren't allowed to play. So there were no Barbies in the scenario. I mean, come on, who didn't do the Little Big Horn with all the soldiers, tanks, cannons, bombers, etc that all the kids on the block could provide. Except girl toys that is.

Barbie is a hugely popular doll in America...it's a play on words (and not a slight to Aussies).
