Hiriart collector John, sent me some photos of special, non-catalog versions of set 1027 21ST LANCERS, SUDAN that he has in his collection. This is the first time that I have seen this version before. The first two photos are the version with long lances while the third photo shows the short lances. Thanks John for sharing.

I've attached a stock photo of catalog set 1027 THE 21ST LANCERS, SUDAN so you can compare it to John's special sets. I actually prefer John's version, that has the officer in the spiked helmet with no sword and the troopers with long lances, to the catalog set
