Thanks, but I can't take credit for it. My friend, Ed Ruby, the noted Britains collector, was kind enough to give me the border.

I just realized that I left one set off the list . Here are the correct sets, L to R:

I have about 150 Hiriart sets in my collection, but alas, most are still in their boxes. My friend and fellow Hiriart collector, Bob Walker, has a collection of about 20,000 figures including at least 200 Hiriart sets all on display here in Southern California or at his other house in San Jose. I have many photos of them, but unless I can figure out how to make the photos larger there is not much sense in attaching them.

I place one order a year for Hiriart sets for my collection, for about 12 other collectors, and for resale at the West Coaster Toy Soldier Show. My first order in 2005 was for 30 sets; my 2010 order was for 125 sets. They have made many special, non-catalog sets for Bob and I in the past. For example, I have ordered the catalog set 1156 French Chasseurs Alpins made as a special 18-21 figure band. I hope to receive it with the balance of my 2010 order, towards the end of the year.

I am still trying to figure out how to simply make the photos larger without going through a lot of extra steps to enlarge each photo. A forum member PMed me with a complicated way to enlarge the photos, but I am still mystified that I can't just do as I had in the past when the photos came out just fine. For example, on page 7 of More Glossy Manufactures I started a thread entitled Edmund's American Civil War Sets with larger photos; I am not doing anything differently and the attachment size limit remains the same as then.

If there is any particular Hiriart set you would like to see, or if you interested in a particular subject: WW I in Africa, French Foreign Legion, WW II personalities, Italian military. etc., I have several hundred stock photos. Let me know and I will be more than happy to e-mail them to you, if I can't figure out the forum thing.

I'll try sending some now to see how large they are.

Imperial German Husaren and Garde sets. Bob Walker and I have ordered the Garde and Totenkopf Husaren sets as mounted bands in the past. They turned out great with a drum horse and eight muscians in each set.
