This is a stock photo of Hiriart's Set 1078 THE SULTAN'S NAVY, OTTOMAN EMPIRE. I am not aware of any other manufacturer making a similar set.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks, yes, Hiriart does make different, interesting, and unusual figures covering subjects you just can't find from other manufacturers. I guess that is why I was hooked the first time I saw 30 or 40 of their sets spread out over several tables at the 1993 West Coaster. I have mentioned before, that my first order was for 30 sets and I have never looked back as I approach 300 sets in my collection.

I ordered three sets of World War II Finnish Infantry several years ago: one for Bob Walker, one for me, and one for re-sale. I remember Bob suggesting that I would have a hard time selling the extra set since there are very few collectors, unlike Bob and I, who like unusual subject matter. I knew he was right, but I did ultimately sell that set after a couple of years. At one time, I would have ordered the Sultan's Turkish Navy set for re-sale, but now I would only ordered it for a collector who specifically wanted it, since it may not be everones's cup of tea. Bob and I like ours though.

A most impressive number Mike! {bravo}} I have seen various sets at the London shows over the years and they always seem to attract interest from passing collectors.

Thanks :salute::

This is new version of the Sultan's Navy where the figures are at slung arms rather than the slope and now there is a flagbearer.
