Thanks Brad but, I,ll play over here till they get that fixed just to be on the safe side!
For those that use Microsoft (either windows or DOS based software) go to
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us . This is the microsoft update site. It is secure. It will automatically search your computer for updates and provide all the missing updates. There are emergency updates for security and routine updates for hardware. Depending on how out-of-date you keep your machine, it may take several connections to complete all of the updates. Most updates require a reboot before you can accomplish another.
These updates are important in that they will have the latest security improvements straight from the authors. Everytime you send an error message when you or your machine screws up, they record it, and they get millions of them from millions of computers.
Install the latest Windows Explorer, it has many new and improved safety features, like verification that the web site you asked for is the one that is presented on the screen.
Keep your Norton or whatever virus package you use up to date. The newest version automatically seeks its home page for updates daily.
Take the time to make your computer do a virus scan everyday. Windows has an automatic maintenance schedule. Use the disc clean and the defragmentation functions in your computers maintenance software. If you own a gun or a car, you keep them clean and maintained, do the same for your computer. It couldn't hurt.
