Hi all,

I was in Japan recently and visited the Osaka museum and castle. Some nice architectural type large displays with figures of at least 1/24 scale (75mm) or larger. First pic is view from the plane flying in to land at Osaka airport.

Mostly covering the sengoku period and Edo period. Basic story is that one dominant warlord daimyo Oda Nobunaga tried to unify all of Japan, was assasinated and eventually the unifier was Toyotomi Hideyoshi. His young son was displaced by Tokugawa Ieyasu who became Shogun. End of story.

Rgds Victor.

Thank you for sharing Victor. :salute::

Brilliant photos of the displays there. I bet you enjoyed your visit to the Museum !

I like the little market street scene in particular. The model makers certainly done a wonderful job.

Hello Nap, Louis and Steve,

Yes these large dioramas were excellent. They do occupy a lot of space but it’s a museum. Hahahaa.

i would recommend a trip to Japan. Very quirky country and shops. Tried nude bathing but there was only another elderly gentleman and we both avoided each other. Hohohoho
